Serengeti Wilderness Camp, our classic tented camp in central Serengeti, sits in a prime location overlooking a wildlife-rich valley with a permanent water source. Guests enjoy tranquil privacy away from the busier central Serengeti, but with great access to surrounding game viewing areas. With excellent resident game, high predator concentrations and the migration free to pass through camp, you can savour superb food, a relaxing atmosphere and warm Tanzanian hospitality.

Local Area

Seronera’s network of river valleys supports a rich wildlife population including big cats, elephants and buffalo herds. Enjoy game drives in specially modified safari vehicles, with window seats for every guest. Birding in the area is highly rewarding, and a balloon safari offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view as you float above the majestic Serengeti plains.

Stay Close To Nature

Drift off to the sounds of the wild and wake to freshly brewed tea or coffee delivered by our friendly camp staff on your private verandah.  Our ten spacious canvas tents, each 9m x 6m with a 9m x 2m verandah, offer lovely vistas and are spaced far apart for privacy. Large double doors and netted windows provide refreshing airflow. Enjoy your private sitting area with wicker furniture. The en-suite bathroom includes a basin with vanity, gravity-fed shower and toilet. Relax on your private verandah, the perfect spot to watch the game pass through camp. A family tent is available on request.

Location of Camp

In order to preserve the natural environment of the Serengeti, our camp moves every year. In 2024 our camp is located at Nyabagoti, just a 30 minute drive from the Seronera Airstrip.
